  • Location: Chilton
  • Position: CNC Press Brake Operator
  • Working Hours: Monday-Friday – 2x shift rotation 6am-2.30pm / 2.30pm-11pm
  • Salary: £13.73 per hour
  • Contract is temp to perm 

Are you seeking a hands-on role in a dynamic, fast-paced metal fabrication environment? Our client is recruiting CNC Press Brake Operator to support us with ensuring that all components meet the highest of standards.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form metal components according to engineering drawings.
  • Interpret engineering drawings in both first and third angle projection to determine machine settings and sequence of operations.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling for each job, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to verify dimensions and quality, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with a team of approximately 10 colleagues, while independently managing assigned tasks.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.

About you?


  • Proven experience as a CNC Press Brake Setter/Operator, with a background in operating hydraulic or mechanical press machines.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including first and third angle projections.
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks without supervision.
  • Experience in setting tools and performing in-process inspections to ensure quality control.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make precise adjustments to machinery.
  • Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations related to machinery operation.
