Ideal Recruit are currently looking for a CNC Programmer / Machinist on behalf of our client in the Wigan area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a privately owned, established company with an excellent track record of looking after and retaining their staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce small batches of high quality parts
• Programme, Set and Operate 3 axis machines with Heidenhain controls
• Read technical drawings and be self sufficient from start to finish
• Take pride and responsibility in your work
• Calibrating machines for precise measurements and ensuring that the machine settings match the specifications of the component.
• Diagnosing and fixing issues related to machine operation, tooling, and part quality.
• Work closely with Engineers and Toolmakers to manufacture high quality tools
• Adhering to workplace safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Ideally you will be a time served Engineer
• Strong Programming skills (CAD/CAM) – our client has facilities for offline Programming as well as on the machines
• Must be competent using Heidenhain controls
• Proven CNC Machining background
• Proficient in CNC Milling
• Must be a self sufficient engineer, who is passionate about their work
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, engineers, and management
• Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
