CNC Programmer/Operator

• Location: Wythenshawe/ Gatley
• Job Type: Full-time
• Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri (Days)

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator proficient in both 5 Axis and 3 Axis programming and operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing technical data and ensuring the highest quality of component production, adhering to company standards and health and safety policies.

Day to Day of the role:

• Review drawings and technical data to ensure effective machining and production engineering standards.
• Maintain workshop and machinery to a safe standard in line with company EH&S policies/procedures.
• Adhere to regular 5S housekeeping schedule to keep all areas clean and tidy.
• Produce seat plastics components to the highest quality standard using various processes.
• Become competent in the use of all workshop machinery through company training.
• Work within COSHH guidelines and ensure correct wearing of appropriate PPE.
• Read and understand basic engineering drawings and projections.
• Assist in stock control, stores, inspection, part marking, and packaging..
• Work to tight deadlines and be willing to work overtime during busy periods.
• Be flexible with shift changes to suit business needs, including potential night shifts.
• Drive company vehicle for collections/deliveries as required.
• Carry out additional duties as requested by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in programming and operating a 5 axis router (Thermwood experience is a plus).
• Understanding of Delcam Power Mill and/or Solid Works.
• Ability to read and understand Standard Measuring Equipment (SME).
• Familiarity with material traceability and equipment calibration requirements.
• Flexibility in working hours and shift patterns, including night shifts.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
