Location:�Exhall, Coventry

Shift:�Monday to Friday (7am - 4:30pm, Mon - Thurs & 7am - 12:30pm on Fridays)

Job Description



We are seeking a skilled and experienced�CNC Setter Operator �to join our team in Kingswinford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our CNC lathes, delivering high-quality components in line with production schedules and specifications.



Key Responsibilities




  • Set up and operate HAAS CNC Machines:�Prepare and configure CNC machines, including tooling, fixtures, and programs, to produce precision components.

  • Program adjustments:�Make necessary adjustments to CNC programs to optimize performance and ensure accuracy.

  • Inspection and quality control:�Conduct first-off inspections and regular quality checks to maintain adherence to specifications and tolerances.

  • Maintenance and troubleshooting:�Perform routine maintenance on machinery and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime.

  • Production monitoring:�Ensure machines run efficiently and meet daily production targets while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings:�Work from engineering drawings and specifications to produce components accurately.

  • Collaboration:�Work closely with the production and engineering teams to continuously improve processes and ensure optimal machine utilization.



Key Requirements




  • Proven experience as a CNC Setter Operator, specifically with lathes.

  • Strong understanding of CNC programming (Fanuc or similar controls preferred).

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Knowledge of measuring equipment and inspection processes.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Awareness of health and safety standards within a manufacturing environment.
