My client in Cambridgeshire is currently in need of an experienced CNC Turner due to ongoing expansion.



Company Overview:



My client is a leading precision engineering company specialising in high-quality machined components for various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and medical sectors. They are looking for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer to join their dynamic team.



Job Description:



As a CNC Turner Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. You will play a key role in ensuring production efficiency, quality, and adherence to industry standards.



Key Responsibilities:



•             Program, set up, and operate CNC turning machines.



•             Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and specifications.



•             Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for machining operations.



•             Carry out first-off inspections and quality checks using measuring equipment.



•             Adjust programmes and machining parameters to optimise production efficiency.



•             Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.



•             Maintain a safe and clean working environment.



•             Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure high standards.



•             Document production processes and maintain machine records.



Requirements:



•             Proven experience as a CNC Turner.



•             Proficiency in CNC programming on any machine controls.



•             Strong knowledge of turning operations and machining principles.



•             Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.



•             Good understanding of quality control and inspection methods.



•             Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.



•             Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



•             Strong communication and organisational skills.





Location: Cambridgeshire



Salary: £19/23phr

    Four-day working week (Monday–Thursday, 7 am–5 pm).
