Coating Inspector
Norfolk
1 year Temp position with possible extension
To support industrial coating quality control on new work scopes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Inspection & Assessment
Conduct thorough inspections of coatings applied to various components, structural steel, pipes etc.
Assess coating quality, adhesion, thickness, and overall condition.
Identify and document any defects or non-conformities.
Quality Control
Monitor and ensure compliance with standards and project specifications.
Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures.
Review and approve inspection reports and test results.
Documentation
Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and quality control measures.
Tech Support
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams regarding coating selection, application methods, and quality control procedures.
Assist in the resolution of coating-related issues and problems.
Assist in the organisation of calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
Training & Development
Participate in training programs to maintain and enhance certification and industry knowledge
Provide training and mentorship to junior inspectors or other team members.
Education
NACE Level 2 (or equivalent) Coating Inspector Certification
Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and codes
Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
