Coating Machine Operator

A fantastic opportunity! As a Coating Machine Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating production equipment to meet customer requirements by completing the production schedule on time. This role involves ensuring quality standards are met while maximizing cost-effectiveness, operational efficiency, and equipment performance.

The Coating Machine Operator is part of a 4-person team responsible for operating a coating line. Tasks include loading rolls, mixing and applying coatings, rewinding and unloading rolls, and overseeing the overall operation of the line.

Location - Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire

Hours of work - Monday 9.30am to 6.30pm then 3 x 12 hour shifts 6.30pm until 3.30am.

Salary - £33,279 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance)

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycl
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed & tension) during operation
• Check product output to spot any machine or material related mistakes or flaws
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
• Able to maintain a clean & tidy work environment.
• Contribute to the continuous Improvement of products & processes

Knowledge, experience and skills required

• Proven experience as a machine operator
• Working knowledge of high-speed rotary machinery
• Understanding of production procedures
• Ability to read product specifications & machine instructions
• Proficient in Reading, Writing and Maths, coupled with inputting of data & transactions in the company computer systems.
