The Northern Ireland Hospice are seeking to hire a Coffee Shop Supervisor The Old School House Café is an exciting income generating initiative positioned in Somerton House, the well-known and iconic flagship building of the Northern Ireland Hospice. A warm and welcoming place for relatives, visitors, and the general public to come and relax, the 35-seat coffee shop is situated in tranquil surroundings and serves high quality produce as well as providing excellent customer service. Role We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Café Supervisor to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to joinNorthern Ireland's leading charity. Led by the Coffee Shop Manager and supported by Hospice volunteers, the Coffee Shop Supervisor will create an environment reflecting the ethos and work of Northern Ireland Hospice by building a positive reputation for quality and outstanding service while injecting the necessary personality to create a warmth of welcome expected by our clientele. The post holders will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the Old School House Café and will be required to support and deputise for the Coffee Shop Manager as together their team pursue the financial and social targets required by Northern Ireland Hospice regarding income generation. Salary: £11,989per annum (£22,480 FTE) Contract: Permanent Location: The Old School House Café, Somerton House, Belfast Hours: Part Time 20 hours per week (flexibility to work weekends, as required per rota) Essential Criteria: Minimum 1 years experience in the preparation of food and beverages. Basic Numeracy and Literacy Skills Cash Handling Experience Desirable Criteria: Barista trained. Experience of working with volunteers. Trained in First Aid. NVQ Level 1 in Catering & Hospitality (Food preparation and Service) Basic Food Hygiene qualification. Experience of cash handling and till reconciliation / cashing up.
