Collections Officer

We are looking for an experienced Collections Officer to join a fantastic team within a council on a temporary basis (3 months initially). This role is hybrid / remote working (1 day in office, 4 days from home) and pays £153.44 p/d PAYE and £191.92 p/d Umbrella.

• The right candidate will work as part of a specialist team with responsibility for collecting service charges.
\n
• They will be required to manage a large portfolio of service charge accounts and to maintain contact with account holders to ensure that payments are kept up to date, issuing letters and statements where necessary.

• They will be responsible for authorising payment plans and checking that these are maintained.
\n
• Be comfortable liaising with other teams as required, they will ensure that customers' service charge queries are resolved.
\n
• They will also be responsible for recommending legal action in instances of non-payment.
