Commercial and Membership Director

JOB TITLE:Commercial and Membership Director REPORTING TO: Chief Executive SALARY: £60,045 - £70,640 DESCRIPTION The agriculture and agri-food sectors are vital contributors to the Northern Ireland economy and the largest private sector employers. The Ulster Farmers Union is the main representative body for the sector with more than 12,000 memberships representing their interests at home and abroad. Based in Belfast, this is an exciting opportunity to work as a key member of the UFUs senior management team, in a very high profile, busy, diverse and rewarding environment. Reporting to the Chief Executive, some of the main duties and responsibilities will include: Direct line management responsibility for the UFUs Group Manager network, membership and events teams. Drive the membership forward by increasing membership, retention of existing members and enhancement of member engagement and satisfaction. Maximise the UFUs membership income and drive non membership related income. The successful candidate must demonstrate a knowledge of local agriculture coupled with at least 5 years commercial experience or equivalent experience in meeting performance targets in a results driven environment. You must have a third level qualification inagricultureor a business-related subject or 10 years relevant experienceand have managed teams effectively for at least 3 years. The role offers a competitive salary in a range of £60,045 - £70,640.
