Allen & York are delighted to be working with one of the UK's top 10 recyclers of waste plastic materials. Sourcing its raw materials from across Ireland and Great Britain, our client services the waste plastic needs of medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, warehousing and distribution facilities and waste management companies.

Due to ongoing expansion, our client is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic Commercial Buyer & Trader to join the established team in this fast-paced role. The successful candidate will be required to maintain and develop supplier relationships, predominately in the South of England, and negotiate the purchase of their waste plastic materials.

You'll need to have solid commercial experience, ideally in the waste management/environmental service sector and be skilled in establishing, developing and nurturing robust relationships with new and existing suppliers. With the ability to inspect and assess plastic material and negotiate its purchase, you'll be confident in resolving logistical problems and queries as they arise. An excellent communicator, you'll be highly organised and able to manage and prioritise your day.

This role requires extensive travel, being away from home 1-2 nights per week, therefore you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have a flexible approach to your working week.
