COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our client is a renowned nationwide leader in the construction and facilities management industry. Established in 1996, they have grown significantly and secured multiple blue-chip contracts due to their outstanding reputation. They are currently seeking a qualified Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team, working on a major blue-chip retail contract.
JOB PURPOSE
The role will involve responsibility for ensuring departments within the company are compliant with respect to all our industry obligations, accreditations and internal processes. You will be responsible for monitoring industry change and ensuring relevant changes are actioned.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Possess comprehensive technical skills along with extensive experience in commercial fault finding and rectification.
Comprehensive knowledge of both domestic and commercial systems.
Good all round knowledge of heating systems, fixed electrical systems & controls/BMS.
Good plumbing skills.
Good interpersonal & communicating skills, flexible approach to work/Clients’ requirements. Be prepared to work out of hours from time to time and participate in the callout rota. Good organisational skills and have a positive attitude.
A good knowledge of all building services
Sound level of administration and organisational skills
Minimum 2 years practical experience within the building industry.
Possess comprehensive technical skills along with extensive experience in commercial fault finding and rectification.
Comprehensive knowledge, both domestic and commercial of most major manufactures such as Valliant, Powermatic, Riello, Combat, Ambi-Rad, Ideal, Potterton, Nu Way, ATAG and Worcester etc.
Interface with the company’s employees, Health & Environmental (HS&E) Department, Quality Assurance (QA), Human Resource (HR) Department.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
Essential
Gas qualifications in:- Comb analysis, gas boilers under and over 70kw, pipework, warm air, gas fires, range cookers, air heating, water CH, commercial and domestic gas qualifications.
Excellent gas knowledge complete with an industry recognised qualification NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing.

SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary up to £45,000 -£47,0000 + all the below benefits
Standby @ £23.00 per day when on call – Subsequent call outs on overtime rates – call out approx. 1 in 3 for gas.

Working hours - Mon – Friday 08.00 to 17.00
Call out – 1 in 3
Overtime rates – x1.5 weekdays after 5pm and Saturdays before 1pm & x2 on Sundays/Bank holidays and at all other times
