My client who are a multi-million� turnover business operating within the Infrastructure / Construction industries are currently recruiting for a Commercial Director on a fulltime permanent basis in London (hybrid working).

The Commercial Director will be responsible to lead the Commercial function, driving strategic revenue initiatives and ensuring effective delivery of the group business plan.

Effectively action plans aligned with company goals to achieve growth in revenue, profitability, customer numbers, and industry segmentation. Whilst maintaining great standing in the industry and promoting a culture of operational excellence and continuous development.

Role - Commercial Director - Infrastructure / Construction
Location - London (hybrid working)
Type - Permanent
Salary - �130,000-�160,000 + bonus + benefits

Key responsibilities of the Commercial Director / Commercial Director - Infrastructure & Construction role and not be limited to:

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the Commercial function to achieve revenue and business growth.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, compliance, and market disruptions in recruitment and construction.

Operational Excellence

  • Optimise commercial processes with a strong focus on client relations.
  • Oversee CRM systems and drive digital transformation using AI.
  • Identify opportunities for service innovation and market expansion.
  • Strengthen negotiation skills to secure high-value contracts.

Commercial Planning

  • Manage financial performance, profitability, and market trends.
  • Oversee bid and tender processes, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Handle client agreements dynamically to support business operations.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage risks affecting business success.

Business Development & Key Accounts

  • Drive client acquisition and new market opportunities.
  • Strengthen client relationships to improve retention and lifetime value.
  • Leverage operational functions to support business development.
  • Lead negotiations for major contracts and monitor M&A opportunities.

Marketing

  • Manage outsourced marketing to ensure return on investment.
  • Enhance brand presence and thought leadership in recruitment.
  • Drive lead generation and employer branding.

Revenue Management

  • Oversee pricing strategies to maximise gross margins.
  • Use analytics to develop dynamic business strategies.
  • Utilise government grants and funding to support revenue streams.

Change Management

  • Lead organisational change initiatives in collaboration with senior leaders.
  • Communicate transformation plans effectively to stakeholders.
  • Align teams with evolving business objectives.

Team Management

  • Develop a high-performing, skilled commercial team.
  • Ensure continuous industry knowledge and skills development.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and high morale.

Key skills and experience required Commercial Director / Commercial Director - Infrastructure & Construction role and not limited to:

  • Strategic Leadership, proven track record in driving business growth, revenue, and market expansion.
