The Commercial Director is responsible for leading the commercial function of LSC, providing leadership, direction and control while being part of the senior management team. This role aims to drive revenue growth, set quality standards, and influence the strategic direction of the organisation. Main Responsibilities The Commercial Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and executingstrategic initiatives that enhance our engagement with commercial clients, government bodies, diplomats, and ministers. This individual will be instrumental in driving business growth while managing high-stake political relationships and navigating complex regulatory environments Input at the Board level to establish the strategic objectives of the organisation Developing and implementing revised or new commercial policies and processes to meet the needs of all stakeholders, ensuring compliance with legal constraints in UK and Middle East Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking Engage with international clients to foster relationships, understand their needs, and drive business growth. This includes the development and execution of strategies to meet the specific needs of each client Possess an in-depth understanding of the Middle East market to adapt strategies accordingly and to ensure the company s competitive edge within the region Line management responsibilities and involvement in recruitment, development and performance management of the staff Leading commercial portfolio and company-wide initiatives Managing service delivery; maintaining service level standards, building client relationships, and initiating service improvements Conducting analytical work and report writing related to commercial activities Budget preparation and cost analysis of client proposals Providing advice and guidance to senior staff on operational matters Having a key role on relevant company committees and representing the organisation at international and local events Knowledge, Skills & Experience Educated to degree level and/or a recognised professional qualification with chartered membership Bring a wealth of industry experience, with a minimum requirement of 10 years, to lead the commercial team with proven yet creative methods Substantial experience in commercial leadership roles Sound knowledge of company policies and regulations Strong leadership and diplomacy skills to interact effectively with high-ranking officials and senior ex-military personnel (at 2-star and 3-star level) Proven experience in negotiating and influencing high level contractual arrangements Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across cultural and political divides Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Forward planning may extend over a year for shaping the direction of commercial strategies and embedding strategic changes Operating within annual operational cycles including targets, budgets, and performance reviews Project management may involve significant planning and coordination Communicating and Influencing Regular interaction with senior leaders including company executives, diplomats, ambassadors and ministers Networking with professionals in the wider community Representation and promotion of commercial activities on internal and external platforms Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and priorities Impact An effective commercial strategy will have a significant impact on revenue generationand company growth Problem-Solving Resolving operational problems, unique situations, or events within the commercial function Strategic thinking to develop innovative commercial approaches and respond to externalmarket forces Analysing statistics and trends to make informed decisions and reach effective solutions Guidance Received Broad functional guidelines exist in the form of commercial policies and procedures Decision Making Autonomy: Exercise independent judgment in routine daily commercial operation Collaboration: Seek input from colleagues for deliberation on policy adjustments, significant operational concerns, and revisions to operational strategies Other Ability to take 30% international travel as part of the job responsibilities Compensation The annual salary for the Commercial Director position is in the range of £68,000.00 £74,200.00 43 Upper Grosvenor St London, W1K 2NJ, United Kingdom ##### #J-18808-Ljbffr
