Commercial Director for Major Projects, Tier 1 Main Contractor Commercial Director for Major Projects, Tier 1 Main Contractor with excellent reputation and £400m project. About the role of Commercial Director This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and become an integral part of the team with autonomy and flexible working on offer. This role is a newly created position due to ongoing growth of the division. You will be working as the new Commercial Director on the PSCA of a £400m project that includes residential, industrial, labs, education and hotels. Working closely with the senior leadership team and client to ensure the successful acquisition of the project as it goes to site. The role will allow the successful candidate to work with new and old suppliers, with the support of a large business and team. As you will be working as part of the Major Projects team and be based in Liverpool Street for the next 2 years. Travel to sites outside London will sometimes be required. Requirements for Commercial Director The company are looking for a candidate with experience ideally working with Tier 1 contractors on major projects as the overall commercial lead on projects over £200m. As the project is made up of multiple smaller projects you will have opportunity to add staff to the team as the project grows. You will be working closely with the client, so a preference for some client side experience is preferred. You will be experienced in relationship management, a confident negotiator and decision maker, highly organised and competent contract manager. Experience working on construction major projects with a Tier 1 or 2 Main contractor PCSA Management and experience Ideally client side experience (not essential) Ability to manage a team and multiple projects The company Leading Tier 1 Main contractor with offices across the UK a strong pipeline of both new and repeat clients. The business are a leading main contractor with a turnover circa £1bn and growing. With key projects including Industrial, commercial, hotels and leisure. They have gone from strength to strength over the past 2 years, winning an abundance of work and expanding across the region working on major projects over £100m within this team.
