Commercial Finance Director

Cedar are recruiting a Commercial Finance Director for a leading national healthcare provider. Working in tandem with the NHS, they provide specialist services across four key areas of care. They operate almost 100 sites across the UK and, as part of a larger group, are both expanding & acquisitive. The role of Commercial Finance Director has been recently created and will report to the CFO whilst owning & improving the financial models that drive performance across all divisions. Duties and responsibilities include: Drive commercial strategy and pricing / fee negotiations with external stakeholders. Ensure pricing strategy reflects the cost of providing services whilst maintaining gross margin. Analyse performance by operating site; identify issues / deliver improvements where necessary. Oversee and drive the performance of all commercial contracts. Lead on the financial viability of new market opportunities. Manage, motivate and develop a team of up to 12 staff (3 direct reports) Ensure accurate reporting of all information & KPIs to maintain a solid link between operations and finance. The ideal candidate for the position of Commercial Finance Director will: Be an experienced senior finance professional (qualified accountant preferred) with a strong commercial background. Possess experience of negotiating at senior level with local authorities / NHS / care boards and have an understanding of how public sector contracts are awarded. Demonstrate superior financial modelling / pricing skills how long with an ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders Enjoy working at Board level to help shape and drive commercial decision making.
