Our Client are currently looking for a Commercial Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join their highly valued team on a full-time basis.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sprinkler System Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of commercial fire sprinkler projects while working in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
Commercial Fire Sprinkler Estimator Role and Responsibilities:
* Assessing and understanding the technical specifications of sprinkler system projects, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry standards.
* Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates and proposals, customised to each project's unique requirements.
* Measuring and quantifying key components, such as sprinkler heads, pipework, and other related elements.
* Conducting site surveys to gather information, assess project scope, and identify any specific requirements.
* Estimating and evaluating contract values, covering materials, labour, and any associated costs.
* Issuing enquiries to the supply chain to secure the most cost-effective solutions for the project.
* Developing and submitting comprehensive tender documentation, including presentations and project proposals.
* Providing mentorship and guidance to department trainees, supporting their professional development.
* Applying basic LCPB regulations to ensure compliance with relevant fire safety standards and best practices.
* Potential for managerial responsibilities based on experience, including overseeing team performance and project delivery.
* Flexibility to work in a hybrid model, but with a requirement to be on-site in the Crawley office at least four days a week for collaboration and team engagement.
. Commercial Fire Sprinkler Estimator Skills and Experience:
* A Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent (Essential)
* Proven experience within the construction industry, with a solid understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) services.
* Demonstrable experience in a Senior Sprinkler System Estimator role, or a similar position such as Sprinkler Installation Estimating Engineer.
* At least 5 years of experience working on commercial sprinkler system projects, showcasing your ability to manage complex estimations and designs.
* LPCB qualifications would be highly advantageous, reflecting a deep understanding of fire protection standards.
* Proficiency in using CAD software is highly desirable for effective design and project planning.
* Familiarity with BS EN 12845, the standard for fixed firefighting systems, is essential for ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
