Cedar are partnered with a very impressive real estate lending business who are looking to hire a Commercial Management Accountant to join their 7 strong finance team. This Financial Services company has gone through an incredible period of growth, having grown their mortgage book tenfold to circa �400m in the last 3 years with support from notable PE investors and Investment Banks. They are about to experience another wave of growth as they look to expand their offering with a sizeable equity raise from a global investment bank. The company has genuinely sociable and friendly culture, which is demonstrated through their excellent retention. They are operating a hybrid working pattern (3 days in the London office based in Mayfair).
There is plenty of opportunity to come in and add value in this commercial management accountant role; taking on a broad role encompassing an even mix between management reporting and commercial responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Support the production of monthly consolidated management accounts for the group (revenue recognition, intercompany, overheads, accruals/prepayments, fixed assets, purchase ledger).
- Maintain accuracy of all loan schedules (currently a �350m mortgage portfolio).
- Get involved with process improvements and system implementations.
- Provide support with variance analysis, budgets vs. actuals, segmented analysis by varying financial products.
- Support the overall cash management requirements to finance the companies' lending activities.
- Support the annual audit of group entities.
- Collate and analyse financial information relevant for submission via the monthly board reporting packs.
- Business partner several divisions (Serving, IT, Marketing, Sales) in the production of relevant financial information for decision making and support the business's continuous development as a best-in-class alternative lender.
- Provide financial information to the relevant regulatory bodies.
Profile:
- Recently qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
- Happy to look at profiles straight from practice or industry trained.
- Experience in Financial Services or Real Estate is preferred but not essential.
- Must be driven and happy to role your sleeves up in a fast paced, high growth environment.
- Experience improving processes, involvement in system implementations or experience with Power BI is hugely beneficial.
