A leading media company has been rapidly expanding and is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead their sales teams and look after the budget. This role offers hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 at home - following a successful probation period) Hours Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm Salary £50,000 - £70,000 + mileage/expenses + bonus + car parking space reserved This role requires a dynamic and results-oriented leader with a deep understanding of the media landscape. You will have excellent relationship-building skills, the ability to motivate, a proven track record of personal sales success and experience developing and leading high-performance sales teams. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of media solutions to both new and existing clients. The Role Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, fostering a high performance culture. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry partners. Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new sales opportunities. Create and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development to the sales team. Collaborate with the HR department to recruit, train, and retain top sales talent. Negotiate, develop and manage Key Accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships, ensuring profitability and alignment with company goals. Develop customised media solutions that meet the specific needs of clients. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to deliver a multi-media solution across print, radio and digital. Work closely with the marketing, production, and content teams to align sales efforts with the company's overall strategy. Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management. Analyse sales data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth. Ensure all sales activities are tracked and documented in the CRM system. Play a positive role in the implementation of company strategies. Contribute towards the achievement of company's mission and values. The Ideal Candidate Relevant 3rd level qualification or 4-5 years relevant experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of media platforms, advertising products, and industry trends. Ability to think strategically and drive execution. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Proven track record in growing revenue through effective partnerships. Experience managing budgets. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in digital media sales and programmatic advertising.
