Job description – Contracts Manager





Work Location: In person



Job Type: Full-time



Pay: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year





Hours of work:



This role is for a full time position working Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 at our head office in Wakefield.

My client is a specialist provider of low-pressure water mist and sprinkler systems with a reputation for delivering an exceptional and proven product to its clients across a wide spectrum.



Based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, which facilitate its Design, Sales, Commercial and Administrational staff whilst encompassing a functioning product demonstration area.

About the role:



Due to continued growth, They are now hiring a Commercial Manager to lead their commercial team and oversee the interpretation, management, and enforcement of both new and existing contracts.



Candidates from any M&E and/or construction management background will be considered.





Key Responsibilities:



· General commercial management and ensuring the contract appraisal process is administered correctly to protect the company



· Client liaison and negotiation



· Production of documents, reports and briefings for clients and internal management



· Monthly review of progress and budget of projects



· Identifying and managing commercial risks



· Provide contractual advice during the tendering process up until project completion



· Accounts management / credit control to a high degree of commercial awareness



· Manage mediation /adjudication claims





Desired experience and Attributes:



· Previous experience within construction management and/or M&E/sprinkler works



· Contract understanding and interpretation



· Proficient understanding of legal matters and the Construction Act



· Ability to clearly and professionally negotiate matters to reach the desired outcome



· A high level of interpersonal skills both written and verbal



· Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills



· Detail oriented
