An exciting, global media agency has an incredible opening for a Commercial Manager to support Commercial Directors and Client Leads on existing client accounts and new pitches. Devising the commercial strategy for and focussing on the company's most high profile, global clients, this is a truly commercial role for a recently qualified Accountant with proven commercial or client finance experience.The Commercial Manager position works closely with the Commercial Director and wider agency stakeholders. You will be supporting the Commercial Director to support local market teams pre and post pitches, implement commercial strategy for these client accounts and prepare detail to support fee proposals.The RoleClose collaboration with the Commercial Lead on an account (usually a Commercial Director) to design and implement the commercial strategy for the accountAnalyse/interpret revenue and cost dataLiaise and collect information from internal client teams and also local market teamsLiaise with clients (primarily within their procurement teams) and in some cases, be the main contact for a peer in client procurement teamBe a key point of contact on finance and commercial matters. This will often mean being able to articulate commercial terms and risksNew business pitches - close collaboration with the Commercial Lead on an account to design and implement the commercial strategy for the pitchLead the interaction with local market teams in order to prepare the detail to support fee proposals; drafting a detailed briefing to markets, responding to market questions, analysis of market submissions, consolidation of submissions to produce competitive fee/profitability summary for internal approval and then submission to clientTogether with the Commercial Lead, be at the centre of all commercial considerations on a pitchDraft clear concise commercial summary (including fee proposal) for internal approvalBe a key point of contact on finance and commercial matters. This will often mean working to tight deadlinesLine Management of one of the Analyst in the team.Driving process improvement for both new businesses pitches and existing clientsPerson SpecificationCirca 4-6 years experience within a role demonstrating commercial awareness and analysis skillsStrong academics demonstrating exceptional financial and numerical literacyMedia / Marketing Services sector experience is highly desirableFully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACACommercial awareness and desire to develop further in this area, coupled with an interest in the media industry.Strong analytical skills (supported by excellent excel skills and ability to assimilate large volumes of data) supported by rigorous and meticulous approachStrong communication skills (both verbal and written)Dynamic and deadline drivenCandidate RequirementsQualified ACA/ACCA/CIMAStrong communication and business partnering skillsCommercial experience requiredExperience of people management desirableStrong excel skills
