Commercial & Procurement Senior Lawyer Salary : £52,737 to £63,045 (National Framework) or £58,139 to £68,447 (London Framework if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25). There is also an additional Homeworking Allowance of £553 per annum for those working from home and a Recruitment & Retention Allowance of £2,500 per annum. What you will bring To be considered as our Commercial & Procurement Senior Lawyer, you will need: - To be a qualified solicitor or barrister or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, entitled to practice in England and Wales - Extensive post-qualification experience - A track record of managing caseloads, advising on legal matters and managing enforcement activity - A thorough knowledge of and ability to apply contract law, commercial law, tort and public procurement law - A thorough knowledge of contract and procurement practices and processes - A thorough knowledge (or the ability to acquire it) of the relevant law, practice and procedural requirements including public law proceedings - Strong management and leadership skills - Highly effective networking, influencing and relationship building skills - Excellent written and verbal and presentation communication skills - Good working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Office packages - A professional qualification What you ll be doing As a Commercial & Procurement Senior Lawyer, you will provide solutions-focused legal advice, focusing on commercial contracts and public procurement. Ensuring our decisions are legally robust, you ll undertake complex contract and commercial work and proactively identify legal risks, working alongside Case Teams and Groups to ensure they re appropriately managed. You ll lead, support and develop a high-performing team of legal professionals, working across the Legal Services Function to deliver legal advice and guidance throughout the organisation.
