Commercial Sales Manager Preston Permanent up to £40k (plus profit share bonus scheme)
Forrest Recruitment Ltd are excited to be partnered with a well established, family-run manufacturing business in the Preston area. This is a newly created position within the organisation which will allow the successful candidate to make the role their own and have automony to suggest/implement new ideas. The purpose of the role is to nuture existing relationships, identify/chase up leads and develop new business streams - they are looking for someone tenacious to drive the business forward and increase turnover. Joining their modern Preston office, you will be overseeing the Sales & Marketing team and working closely with the Design team to create new product ranges.
Key responsibilities will include:
Business development and customer retention
Telephone, email, digital mailshot, online and in-person contact with customers (B2B)
Identifying new market opportunities and potential areas of business growth
Attending meetings with clients face to face on their premises to promote the company/product range (predominantly North West based but some national)
Inviting clients on site to discuss bespoke/branded products with the Design team
Attending networking events to make new connections and promote the profile of the company/brand
Working with the Marketing team to ensure that the website is fully updated, detailed and user friendly
Working in collaboration with the Marketing Manager to set in place sales strategies
Overseeing a team of 8 x Sales and Marketing staff
Training the team on customer service/sales techniques/commercial awareness to improve customer feedback scores
Suggesting and implementing new processes to increase efficiency and ensure the best customer experience
Responsible for staff development, one-to-ones and monitoring of holidays

The role does involve occasional weekend work to attend events and petrol expenses would be paid for client meetings.
