Transport Manager

Location: Bury St Edmonds

Salary: �38,000 - �45,000pa (DOE)

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5:30pm)

Key Responsibilities:

• To schedule, plan and manage day-to-day customer deliveries.

• Liaise with new and existing customers, helping in increasing profits.
• Meet transport legislation commitments.
• P&L responsibilities across operations, depot and office.
• Monitor fleet maintenance requirements and liaise with and manage drivers.

• Daily input of KPI's, delivery and collection issues, preparing paperwork.
• Excellent UK geographical knowledge.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Transport Management.
• Understanding of General Haulage, the Pallet Network, Traffic Operations and Logistics.
• Transport Management CPC is essential.
• Strong Business/Commercial Acumen.
• High attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachographs and Transport legislation.
• Ability to thrive in a busy work environment.
