Commis Chef

We are currently recruiting for a Commis Chef for a busy country pub in the Hertfordshire area. Ideal candidate will have gained basic experience of working in a commercial kitchen�assisting�the head chef in preparing and presenting a�wide range of food. This role would suit someone who is looking to develop their experience and skills learning from the Head Chef.�

Job specification��

• Assist the chef with food preparation and presentation.�


• Perform basic tasks including chopping and slicing.�


• Follow recipe instructions accurately.�


• Always keep the kitchen clean and hygienic.�


• Communicate effectively with the head Chef.�


• Adhere to kitchen policy.�

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months experience of working in a commercial kitchen


• Access to a car essential due to rural location��


• Experience of food preparation�


• Able to multitask effectively.�


• Effective communication skills�


• High level of attention to detail�


• Passion for food and learning new skills.�


• Excellent work ethic�


• Be able to work under pressure.�


• Fundamental understanding of food hygiene procedures�
