My Client are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commissioning Engineer to join their team, a leading provider of commercial refrigeration solutions. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of refrigeration systems for commercial and industrial clients. Your role will ensure that all systems are set up according to design specifications, function correctly, and meet all regulatory standards.



Key Responsibilities:





  • System Commissioning:

    Oversee the commissioning of commercial refrigeration systems, including cold storage units, HVAC systems, and refrigeration plant rooms. Ensure systems are fully operational, optimized, and comply with relevant safety and environmental standards.




  • Installation Verification:

    Inspect and verify installation of refrigeration systems to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards. Identify and troubleshoot any discrepancies in system setup.




  • System Testing:

    Perform detailed tests and diagnostics to evaluate system performance, identify potential issues, and calibrate the system as required to ensure efficient operation.




  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

    Provide troubleshooting support and guidance to field technicians and installers. Work with technical teams to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner, minimizing system downtime.




  • Documentation & Reporting:

    Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all commissioning activities, including test results, inspections, and safety checks. Create detailed reports and provide technical feedback to both internal teams and clients.




  • Client Communication:

    Act as the main point of contact with clients during commissioning, providing technical expertise and guidance. Address client concerns and ensure that they are satisfied with the performance and operation of the refrigeration systems.




  • Compliance & Safety:

    Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international regulations, codes, and safety standards, such as F-Gas and EPA regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.




  • Training & Support:

    Offer training and technical support to clients and staff, including operational training and ongoing maintenance advice for refrigeration systems.





Qualifications & Requirements:





  • Education:

    A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Certifications in refrigeration or HVAC are a plus.




  • Experience:

    Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the commissioning of commercial refrigeration systems, HVAC, or similar technical fields. Prior experience with large-scale refrigeration installations is highly desirable.




  • Technical Skills:

    Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems, including various types of refrigeration units (e.g., ammonia, CO2, glycol, and HFC-based systems). Experience with PLC systems, electronic controllers, and BMS (Building Management Systems) is beneficial.




  • Problem-Solving Ability:

    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.




  • Communication Skills:

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams effectively and professionally.




  • Health & Safety Awareness:

    A strong understanding of health and safety regulations, including working with refrigerants and hazardous materials.




  • Travel:

    Willingness to travel to client sites as required for system commissioning and support.
