Commissioning Manager

Commissioning Manager / Commissioning Supervisor / Commissioning Leader required to join a global, leading engineering manufacturer.

The successful Commissioning Manager / Commissioning Supervisor / Commissioning Leader will lead and supervise a team of Commissioning / Service Engineers, ensuring their performance aligns with company standards and customer expectations. Based in Sunderland, you will oversee Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for hydrogen compressed air systems, supervise PLC programming, and ensure successful commissioning and service operations for high-pressure systems across various customer sites in Europe.

Commissioning Manager / Commissioning Supervisor / Commissioning Leader will ideally have a HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with supervisory experience, strong PLC programming skills (Siemens TIA Portal preferred), and expertise in managing Field Service Engineers or operations in engineering. Commissioning Engineers with hydrogen compressed air expertise are also encouraged to apply.

Package:
£50,000-£55,000 depending on experience
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
7 % Pension

Commissioning Manager / Commissioning Supervisor / Commissioning Leader Supervisor Role
Lead and supervise a team of service engineers across Europe ensuring their performance aligns with company standards and customer expectations.
Supervise Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for hydrogen compressed air systems.
Oversee PLC programming, leak checks, and system improvements to meet client requirements.
Train and support customers on hydrogen compressed air system use and maintenance, providing aftercare solutions.
Office based in Sunderland
Liaise with various engineering departments.
Commissioning Manager / Commissioning Supervisor / Commissioning Leaderr Requirements
Experience managing Field Service Engineers and / or managing operations within engineering
Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal preferred) and hazardous area safety protocols.
Commissioning Engineers with hydrogen, compressed air or similar experience are encouraged to apply.
Expertise in high-pressure gas systems and Lean principles or managing service teams within an engineering / manufacturing setting.
Degree or HNC / HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is advantageous
Commutable to Sunderland daily.
