Commodity Finance Middle Office Analyst

We are working with a recognised global bank on the following position within a busy Commodity Finance Middle Office team. This is an Associate / Analyst level role. An understanding of Trade Finance Operations and Commodity products would be required. Full training within the team will be provided:Main ResponsibilitiesAssist with monitoring exposures and collateral values to ensure ratios remain within approved limits and sub-limits.Support the maintenance, creation, and setup of all facilities and necessary controls and administrative duties, including the operational aspects of the collateral management system.Key ResponsibilitiesReview term sheets, credit applications, and facility documentation to ensure smooth and efficient deal processing.Create and maintain facilities and limits in databases.Review client drawdown requests to ensure transactions comply with approved facility terms.Provide administrative support for all products related to commodities and non-commodities as required.Liaise daily with stakeholders such as clients, relationship managers, product managers, and operational units.Monitor and control daily exposures handled by the Trade Finance Middle Office under the current facility portfolio.Prioritise inward communications according to importance, with a focus on client-centricity.Familiarise with individual processes and business flows for each client, essential for enhancing client experience and knowledge for new or additional Middle Office team members.Provide technical and operational assistance to all stakeholders, including clients, Relationship Managers, branches, and operational units within EMEA.Monitor balances between the bank’s accounting system and exposure management tools to maintain accurate exposure records.Ensure reporting from the Jasper system correctly reflects exposure relative to managed facilities and ensure control systems align with the bank’s accounting system during reconciliation periods.Work ExperienceEssential: Experience in a Trade Finance related control environment.Please note our client has a hybrid working policy with 3 days in the Canary Wharf Office, London.
