About the role RenewableNI is looking for an individual with communications or marketing experience to join the RenewableNI team. Reporting to the Communications and Events Manager, the postholder will be responsible for producing high quality content and insight to inform RNIs communications and membership engagement. You will assist with the management of RenewableNIs events including Smart Energy Conference and Women in Renewables. Working as part of a small team, this role will include administrative and PA duties. Location: Hybrid working. Working from home with fortnightly day in the office on Arthur Street, plus attending occasional in-person meetings and events in Belfast as required. Hours: 35 hours per week, RenewableNI is open to considering options such as part-time/flexible opportunities, in addition to the standard full-time working arrangements. Remuneration: £22,000-£26,000, 28 days annual leave with Christmas closure and public holidays. This post will run to end of 2025, with the possibility of becoming permanent. Job Description Create innovative and impactful content to promote RNIs reputation and to engage with the local media. Research, write / produce and disseminate a range of material including case studies, infographics, digital copy, video, audio and member interviews, with a focus on promoting excellence in RNIs strategic priority areas. Lead on the RenewableNI ezine, including liaising with members for content. Provide Market Research Analysis for audience-segmented communications. Produce analytical reports from RNIs digital communications. Contribute to the implementation of RNI communication strategy. Monitor the media (including social media outlets) and escalate any matters which may have an impact in the renewable sector. Provide event management support for a range of events including Smart Energy Conference. Assist with media inquiries and respond to requests for information. Update RenewableNI website. Manage Director email and diary, highlighting issues that need immediate attention and routing correspondence not requiring Directors attention. Compose and prepare internal/external correspondence. Make director travel and accommodation arrangements, process business expenses. RenewableNI Membership admin. Candidate requirements: Degree in relevant area of communications or marketing OR 5 years recent experience in Marcomms role. Experience in social media management, creative content development, copywriting for SEO, and digital advertising (this can include course projects). Strong knowledge of X/Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram, experience of Canva. Skilled in MS Office Packages, including Outlook. Be self-motivated, creative and proactive individual, and able to work unsupervised. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Awareness of the media landscape both online and offline. Ability to work on multiple campaigns and projects at once. Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and operate within tight deadlines with a high level of attention to detail. A team player and a proven ability to develop effective working relationships and contribute to a small team environment. Discretion and confidentiality. Adaptable and willing to travel to occasional meetings and events across the UK and Ireland.
