Job Description

Job Title: Communications Officer
Salary: £16.59 PAYE (Inclusive of Holiday Pay) | £18.21 P/H LTD Umbrella 
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
Type: Temporary Ongoing
Location: Cheshire, CW11 | Hybrid (2 Days Per Week in Office)
Start Date: ASAP
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday | 09:00am – 17:00pm

Join our team as a Communications Officer to help drive engagement and promote our client’s priorities through innovative campaigns. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing the reputation of our client by crafting communications that resonate with diverse audiences.
.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cost-effective, audience-specific communications plans that align with the Council's objectives.
  • \n
  • Commission creative communications products from both internal and external providers.
  • \n
  • Set, monitor, and evaluate SMART objectives for communications activities, ensuring success through measurable outcomes.
  • \n
  • Contribute to a coordinated schedule of communications to promote Council initiatives.
  • \n
  • Build and maintain a network of influential contacts to support the Council’s communications goals.
  • \n
  • Offer expert advice to colleagues and partners on their communications strategies.
  • \n
  • Uphold and contribute to the development of the Council’s corporate visual identity.
  • \n
Qualifications and Experience:
    \n
  • Degree or equivalent in a communications discipline.
  • \n
  • Proven experience in a marketing or PR communications role.
  • \n
  • Ability to develop creative communications products across various platforms.
  • \n
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and specialist software such as Hootsuite.
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • \n
  • A good understanding of local government issues is highly desirable.
