Contact Mairead Douthart | | Community / Project Engagement Officer - Newtownabbey - Public Sector This is an exciting new post within the Economic Development section of Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council, offering you the chance to work with local employers, potential investors, community groups and residents as part of a new project aimed at improving maths skills within the Borough. About the role: Based within Mossley Mill £20.31p/hour Full Time, 37hrs per week Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Up to 1 Year (March 2025) with possibility of extension Please note deadline for applications is Thursday 27th June 12 noon, however you can register your interest for other Council vacancies by applying today. 'Multiply' is a government funded initiative which aims to improve adult numeracy levels through a range of funded interventions. You will be responsible for coordinating a range of projects which have been planned as part of the Multiply programme. Duties will include: Engage/procure and work closely with internal and external delivery partners to ensure their offer is being fully rolled out and they are meeting the expectations of the funding. Lead, plan and deliver an agreed programme of interventions in the Borough and report on the success of programmes to the Economic Development Committee. Criteria: Degree in Economic Development ; Community Development, Regeneration or equivalent level qualification. Consideration may be given to those who do not hold the above qualification but who can demonstrate 4 years relevant experience as outlined below. Possess at least 2 years experience in a wide range of economic / community development activities Experience of developing / delivering skills and / or employability initiatives Working with communities and adults Good planning and project management skills, including Programme design, resource development and assessment Co-developing and co delivering programmes with adults Excellent organisational skills Displays a positive attitude including a solution based, flexible and enthusiastic approach Knowledge of EU and other funding programmes and how applications and claims are prepared and processed Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and Windows Applications Full current driving licence and access to a form of transport Apply today, email or call Mairead on to find out more.
