This is the number 1 finance role for the business and has overall responsibility and control of finance for an SME business. The role reports directly into the Directors and manages a small team.
Key aspects of the role will include; long-term business plans and strategy, identifying business risks and opportunities, financial reporting and communication, preparation and distribution of the company’s Statutory Accounts, Monthly Management Accounts, budgets and forecasts, compliance with and computation of the company’s tax returns, ensuring company compliance with legislation and payroll.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced accountant, with history of working in a similar role and happy to manage all aspects of day to day company finance. The ability and willingness to interact with other areas of the business is key.
Experience of Xero would be an advantage.
