Our client is one of the largest mortgage brokers in the Southern area, and due to growth and expansion in the business is looking for a Compliance Officer to join the dynamic yet supportive team.

This role would suit someone who is looking for a role with compliance management and have the ability and experience in overseeing and monitoring all processes and sales.

To be considered you must have a minimum of 2 years experience within mortgage and insurance compliance or been a Mortgage Broker for at least 5 years and wanting to move into a compliance based opportunity.

Key Duties

  • Monitor and assist with regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and findings. Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide support to brokers on compliance-related matters. Report training concerns to the Training and Development Manager for delivery of remedial compliance training.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Assist with any customer interactions and complaint investigations or queries related to compliance issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Stay updated with changes in relevant laws and regulatory updates.

Skills and Knowledge

  • CeMAP or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a compliance role (minimum of 2 years) or a mortgage adviser role.
  • Knowledge of mortgage and protection advice industry is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Hours

  • Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (I hour lunch)

Salary and Reward
