About the Role:

Our client, a leading aerospace company, is seeking a skilled Fitter with composites experience to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. This is a day shift role offering the opportunity to work in a cutting-edge industry and contribute to high-quality aerospace manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and test composite components in line with agreed engineering methods and processes as outlined in the manufacturing instructions.
• Ensure strict adherence to Quality procedures and compliance standards.
• Perform material handling and ensure proper management of materials.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings with a strong understanding of their specifications.
• Collaborate with the team to identify and drive opportunities for productivity and performance improvements, supporting cost reductions.
• Contribute to the continuous development of health, safety, and environmental practices within the work area.
• Take ownership of assembly tasks and carry them out independently, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
• Support and progress personal development through the use of a skills matrix, ensuring flexibility and growth within the role.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

• Composite Fitting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of material handling processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Knowledge of Quality procedures and commitment to compliance.
