CNC Programmer - WashingtonTemp to Perm -£18.00ph – 38.5 hours per week,1.5 overtime rate on hours over 38.5 Pension, healthcare, 22 days holidays + bank holidays (Day shift only)Monday to Thursday 08:00AM-16:30PMFriday 08:00AM-14:00PMJob Summary:They are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join their manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.Company:Our client is a long-established and highly experienced precision engineering and tool making company. They serve a variety of industries including commercial vehicles, offshore oil & gas, defence, renewable energy and general engineering/manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:Setup and Operation: Set up machines according to job specifications and technical drawings.Load and unload workpieces and fixtures onto the machine.Select and install appropriate cutting tools and tool holders.Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is in good working condition.Programming: Create, edit, and optimize programs.Adjust machine settings and parameters to ensure optimal performance and product quality.Troubleshoot and resolve programming and machining issues.Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet specifications. Conduct in-process inspections and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.Experience:Proven experience as a CNC programmer.Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.For a confidence discussion on the role, please contact Jayco Recruitment on 01916194200.
