Construction Estimator

Construction Estimator required for a successful privately owned client-side developer based in Yorkshire just east of Wakefield.

The business is involved in high quality residential developments between 100 and 400 homes on each site and is looking for a construction focussed Estimator to join the team.

Working closely with the pre-construction manager, development manager and design team you will be involved in all projects including:-

• Conduct analysis of project specifications.


• Identify and manage potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.


• Develop detailed cost estimates through measurement for materials, labour, and subcontractors.


• Negotiate with subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness.


• Prepare tenders, material take-offs, and final project costs.


• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Degree or BTEC Diploma in construction or similar


• Previous experience in New Build housing preferred but not essential.


• Proficient in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
