Position: M&E Construction ManagerLocation: London, UKWe are working with one of London's most reputable, innovative, and quality-driven main contractors and they are looking for an M&E Construction Manager to join their team in London.Overview:The M&E Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Mechanical and Electrical aspects of a mixed-use development project. This role requires a highly technical individual with an electrical bias and strong mechanical knowledge. The M&E Construction Manager will ensure that all M&E works are completed to the highest standards, within budget, and on schedule.Key Responsibilities:Lead the M&E team, including subcontractors and engineers, to deliver all M&E services in line with project specifications.Develop, update, and maintain the M&E project schedule, ensuring timely delivery of all milestones.Provide technical leadership with a focus on electrical systems while maintaining strong oversight of mechanical systems.Review and approve M&E designs, ensuring they meet the project’s technical requirements and are compliant with relevant codes and regulations.Implement and oversee QA/QC procedures for all M&E installations, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards.Ensure that all testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems are conducted thoroughly and documented properly.Monitor M&E expenditures and manage cost variations, ensuring the project remains within budgetary constraints.Ensure all M&E works comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety on-site.Address and resolve any M&E-related concerns or queries from stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.Qualifications:Experience as a Mechanical or Electrical Construction Manager, either with a degree or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience working in M&E management for either a main contractor or an M&E subcontractor. Strong electrical bias with good mechanical knowledge is essential.Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems, particularly electrical systems, with solid mechanical understanding.Proven ability to manage M&E works for large-scale projects.Excellent project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Proficiency in M&E design software, project management tools, and relevant building codes and regulations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
