Contract Outline:
Role: Construction / Project Manager
Sector: National Gas project
Location: England wide (Flexible hybrid working arrangements).
Contract Length: 12 months +
Outside IR35
Rate: �52-56ph + expenses
Role Overview:
Lead and manage the development and delivery of Construction activities on a National Gas Compressor project(s).
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Principal Contractor in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations, including Temporary Works, ensuring that responsibilities are discharged correctly.
- Support the Project Manager with the development of the programme to ensure all construction activities are planned and managed appropriately.
- Lead and manage the construction team and construction sub-contractors to successfully deliver project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with key safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle with a specific focus on construction stages and activities.
- Provide expertise and oversight during tender evaluations from the supply chain and oversee the development of construction estimates.
- Report regularly to the Project Manager and other senior leadership on progress, risks, and any issues arising.
- Lead all construction specific meetings, workshops and discussions.
Essential Skills:
- National Gas project experience.
- Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations.
- Civils / Construction background.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and oversee site execution.
- Knowledge to support in tendering and be able to challenge pricings.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in EPC projects operating under NEC4 forms of contract, and hands-on experience with early-stage works, design integration, engineering, and constructability.
- Strong understanding of Process Safety including extensive experience of Formal Process Safety Assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP and HAZCON.
- Accredited CSCS certification or equivalent.

- SCO 91 Certification (Desirable).
- APMP accreditation (Desirable).
- Temporary Works Coordinator
- A good understanding of budget management and financial controls would be beneficial.
