Are you an experienced civil/construction engineer or manager with a passion for renewable energy? We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our dynamic team and support our ambitious plans for a 2GW+ Wind Farm Construction programme in Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead construction matters for assigned projects.
  • Manage civil, ground, and access engineering consultants and contractors.
  • Provide input on engineering and design issues, including constructability.
  • Oversee construction contract interfaces, including Grid Contractors.
  • Participate in management meetings on construction and design matters.
  • Review proposals, reports, and designs for all project construction and engineering matters.
  • Conduct site inspections and respond to queries.
  • Manage construction phase programmes and contractor submissions.
  • Ensure site safety and quality management practices are in place.
  • Handle reporting, financial management, and risk management for construction contracts.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong communication skills for effective delivery to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to recognize and plan for project risks.
  • Practical application of NEC4 and FIDIC forms of contract.
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to work efficiently with remote colleagues and external teams.
  • Innovative thinker and problem solver.
  • Champion for safety.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Extensive onshore wind farm project delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated senior-level construction leadership on �20M+ D&C projects.
  • Experience managing consultants and contractors through major value commissions.
  • High degree of technical competency in renewable project elements and practical experience in construction and commissioning.

Location:

Flexible, with time required in our central Cardiff office and frequent travel to project sites across Wales and supply chain partner locations.
