Job Title: Construction Manager�
Location: Manchester, UK
Contract Duration:�Late June / Early July 2025
Project Type: New Build Commercial Development
We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a new build commercial project in Manchester. This project will involve managing groundworks and a wide variety of utility and infrastructure works.�
Key Responsibilities:
  • Groundworks Management: Oversee all aspects of groundworks, ensuring smooth coordination across trades and subcontractors.
  • Utility Works: Coordinate and manage the marking up of drawings and overseeing utility works including wet utilities, duct pits, and cables.
  • Infrastructure: Supervise the installation of foundations for high-mast lighting and transition areas, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • A-Safe Road Barriers: Manage the construction and installation of A-safe road barriers on site.
  • PQC (Pavement Quality Concrete): Ensure that PQC work is completed to the highest standards.
  • On-Site Presence: Be actively present on-site, leading from the front and ensuring daily operations are running smoothly and according to schedule.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager on commercial projects, ideally within the groundworks and utility sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of utility works, foundations, and PQC.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage multiple teams and subcontractors.
  • Experience with high-mast lighting foundations, transition areas, and road barrier installations.
  • Ability to read and mark up technical drawings accurately.
  • Proactive approach, with the ability to solve problems on-site quickly and efficiently.
  • Valid CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid certificates.
  • Immediate availability.
