Due to expansion, our client is looking for an experienced Plant Fitter to join them. They are a well-established construction services provider based in Cambridge. This company operates a fleet of machinery, servicing projects across East Anglia and London.
The Role:
As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a variety of construction plant and machinery, including:
- Articulated tippers / Dumper
- 360/180 machines
- Rigid tippers
- Low loaders
- Hook loaders
- Volumetric concrete lorries
- Other heavy plant and site equipment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned maintenance and repairs on a wide range of plant equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Work efficiently to minimise downtime and ensure machinery operates safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Plant Fitter/Plant Mechanic within construction, transport, or similar industries.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of plant machinery, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
