Consultant Electrical Engineer

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a broad knowledge and experience of HV/LV networks?
Are you looking to move into a consulting role or an experienced Consultant ready for a new challenge?

Then we might have the perfect role for you.

What you'll receive:
£55,000 to £60,000 basic salary
25 holidays plus bank holidays (rising with length of service)

What you'll be doing:
As a consultant, you'll deliver projects that enable our clients to develop, operate, and manage the assets which form their electrical infrastructure.
You'll build network models and perform load flow, fault level, protection, earthing and transient stability studies.
You'll undertake detailed analysis to support customers with their network management to ensure their networks are reliable, safe and efficient.
You'll agree the scope of an assignment and produce costed quotations/proposals
You'll take ownership for delivery of said quotations/proposals
You'll gather project information through frequent teleconferences and face to face client meetings
You'll attend and present at project partner meetings

What you'll need:
An in-depth understanding of high voltage networks and their associated assets, operational safety systems, network policies and practices
Exceptional report writing skills
Experience in maintenance and condition monitoring practices
Electrical failure modes and incident investigation would be an advantage but not essential
Risk Management experience
Working knowledge of Asset Management practices and systems
Electrical safety regulations and procedures knowledge
