Consultant Post in Community General Adult Psychiatry
Hours: 37.5 hours per week / 10 sessions

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the team at the South Ceredigion Community Mental Health Team. Hywel Dda University Health Board is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Consultant to join colleagues in a very dynamic and forward looking mental health service.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will provide clinical expertise and strategic leadership as we look to develop our mental health services to meet the population needs of Hywel Dda UHB.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and bordering counties.
We have over 13,000 staff and together we primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. We work this in partnership the three local authorities as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers. Our services are provided in volunteers, through:
Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest
Seven community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery in Carmarthenshire Tregaron Hospital, Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire. Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices), 45 dental practices (including 4 orthodontic), 96 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
