Main Duties/Responsibilities
\n
As a Consultant Psychiatrist for CAMHS (Learning Disability), with Blackpool Teaching Hospitals you will:
\n
\n- Provide treatment for families, children and adolescents, tailored to individual needs in a multi-disciplinary setting.
\n- Assess families, children and adolescents who present with a mental heath issue and have a learning disability aged 5 to 18 years old.
\n- Consult and collaborate with other agencies in the assessment and treatment of complex cases.
\n- Meet and consult with other members of the team and members of the Children's Health Services, which includes Community Paediatricians.
\n- Plan and co-ordinate mental health services for children, adolescents and families where appropriate.
\n- Prepare professional assessments and report on those children or young people known to you.
\n- Participate in medical audit and evaluation.

Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications
\n
Essential
\n
\n- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
\n- Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment.
\n- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within 6 months.
\n- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
\n- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
\n- Holds and will use valid UK driving license OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
