New to market role within highly regarded UK active Investment Manager working alongside the Head of Consultant Relations to build and maintain relationships with investment consultants and prospect within the direct UK instituional market.Responsibilites include:Partner with the Head of Consultant Relations to ensure a coordinated approach to consultant relations.Grow and maintain relationships with target investment consultants.Develop and manage relationships with key contacts within investment consultant firms (research personnel, field consultants and key executives).Identify and pursue new growth opportunities with direct UK institutional clients.Use a proactive and structured approach to target and engage with prospective clients.Attend industry conferences, network and develop relationships with prospects.Gain a clear understanding of our target consultants and their clients’ servicing requirements, acting as a resolution point for outstanding issues or queries and working with the relevant areas of the wider business accordingly.Actively contribute to a strong risk management & compliance culture.Champion a client centric focus, leveraging best practice to support the achievement of strategic initiatives.Provide market intelligence via consultant thinking, competitor understanding and market trends.Coverage of institutional client relationships (consultant intermediated) where required. Key Skills Required:Proven consultant relations experienceStrong working knowledge of the UK Funds Management marketStrong working knowledge of the investment consultant landscapeAbility to develop strong client and consultant relationships and an in-depth understanding of client and consultant needsA results-orientated self-starter who can quickly analyse consultant needs and focus on commercial deliveryStrong knowledge of Investment marketsA motivated individual that demonstrates drive and enthusiasm. Willing to learn, innovate and improve Team player and an enthusiastic “can do” attitude Good organisational skills, ability to manage own priorities and meet hard deadlinesStrong customer focussed relationship management skills
