PURPOSE OF JOB:
The role is a senior and key position that will lead the Audit, Advisory & Strategy teams within the Bytes Cyber Consulting division. You will be working for the Head of Consulting Services. The role is ideal for anyone that has been providing information and cyber security consulting services to customers and is now looking for the next step up in their career. The role will be split 50:50 between delivering customer consulting and assisting the Head of Consulting Services with running the division, scoping customer engagements, completing statements of work, managing the team, developing new consulting products as well as increasing Bytes’ presence in thought leadership for consulting.

This role is for a senior consultant within Bytes Audit Advisory and Strategy team – this is a customer facing role. You will be working directly for the Head of Audit, Advisory and Strategy. Bytes have multiple certifications and access to industry good practice standards though its memberships. This role is to join the consulting team to collaborate with customers across all aspects of Audit, Advisory or Strategy (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, Information Security Forum Healthchecks, NIST Cyber Security Framework, CIS Security Controls, and third-party assurance activities.) consulting for Bytes customers. We are seeking individuals that have both a broad range of skills; or have focused on specific security standards like PCI DSS. The role is ideal for anyone that has been providing information security and security consulting services to customers and is now looking for the next step up in their career, or just a great company / team to work with. The role is split 75:25 between delivering customer consulting engagements and working on R&D projects, scoping customer engagements, completing statements of work, helping to develop new consulting services as well as increasing Bytes’ presence in thought leadership for consulting services. This role will shape the future of our customers information and cyber security landscape.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To directly deliver 10 days of Audit, Advisory or strategy consulting per month – focusing on ISF Security Healthcheck, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, Data Privacy, vCISO, and general security consulting.
To assist the Head of Consulting Services to grow the revenues and GP of the Audit, Advisory & Strategy departments within Cyber Consulting
To assist with driving the Audit, Advisory & Strategy services within the customer base through the sales teams and engaging in pre-sales scoping calls
To assist the Head of Consulting Services to drive the department forwards with new areas of opportunity and services for the changing needs of the Bytes customer base.

INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivering Audit, Advisory or strategy services to customers and provide leadership to the consultants and developing the team
Interacting with the sales team to ensure that new business is scoped appropriately for delivery
Managing customer engagements and being responsible for the quality / timeliness of work delivered.
Delivering high quality engagements to customers and delivering real value to them.
Being responsible for the Audit, Advisory & Strategy financial targets and understanding how these impact the overall department budgets

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
BSc degree or 5 years relevant experience - Essential
Certified ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor qualification(s) or other relevant information security qualifications - Essential
PCI QSA - Essential
6 to 8 years security / IT experience - Essential
5 years information security consulting experience (desirable) - Essential

Other Requirements
Ability to pass BPSS, or BS7858 / NQA 3000, or HMG SC vetting requirements.
Digital leadership skills – capable of empowering and leading the Audit, Advisory & Strategy teams to meet business and customer goals
Solid people management skills – providing direction, monitoring performance, motivating the team, and building a positive working environment for the Audit, Advisory & Strategy teams
Ability to adapt to a fast-moving security landscape and keep pace with latest thinking
Strong customer focus – able to meet the demands of internal and external customers
Excellent communication skills – providing verbal and written communication that are outstanding to both direct reports, & Head of Consulting Services as well as other stakeholders including customers
Can make decisions that are well informed and timely
Good time management, can handle conflicting priorities, and deliver excellent levels of quality
