Job Title: Container Unloader

Location: Swindon/Cricklade

Reports To: Line Manager

Pay rate: £12.50 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Container Unloader to join our logistics team. The Container Unloader will be responsible for efficiently unloading cargo from shipping containers, ensuring that all goods are handled with care, and safely stored or organized for further processing. The ideal candidate will have physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  Unload cargo from shipping containers using manual labor, forklifts, or other unloading equipment.

  Ensure that all items are safely and properly handled, checking for damages and reporting any issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Sort and organize goods as per warehouse protocols, ensuring inventory accuracy.

  
  


• 
  

  Lift, carry, and stack products in a safe and organized manner.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while handling heavy goods.

  
  


• 
  

  Operate loading/unloading equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the unloading area.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth and timely unloading processes.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with inventory management and stock taking when necessary.

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in routine inspections of unloading equipment and report any maintenance issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform other related duties as required.

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Previous experience in warehouse or loading/unloading operations is a plus but not required.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

  
  


• 
  

  Forklift certification is a plus.

  
  


• 
  

  Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.

  Ability to work in varying weather conditions if unloading outdoor containers.
