Job: Content Manager Fixed Term Contract Reports to: Head of Content and CommunicationType: Hybrid with some travel (Head Offices in Northampton and London)Hours: Full Time / 9.00am-5.30pm / 12 Month Fixed-Term ContractSalary: £35k-£40k doeThis requires travel to our Northampton or London officesOverview of The Role:As Content Manager, you will have responsibility for planning and creating the communications, editorial calendar and engagement campaigns for all our external communication channels as well as curating brand-led copy across our marketing channels. As an experienced content producer and communications professional, you will report to the Head of Communications and Content and work collaboratively with the wider Social Media, PR and Marketing teams to deliver high quality content that will drive engagement with our target audiences (from prospective and existing parents, corporate decision-makers, parents in professional careers, thought leaders, local influencers or other external stakeholders) and create content to be adapted for our social media channels, public relations output, regular B2B/C/E publications, as well as ensuring we deliver influential communication for our prospective and current parents and corporate clients.Adept at developing communications for digital and print, including websites, advertising campaigns or publications, you will understand how to emphasise our key brand themes, ensure consistency, position our products and lead the development of content for different channels. You will also manage overall cohesion and quality control of the content (copy, imagery, video, social).What You’ll be Doing: Steer and champion the brand values and narrative to help position Bright Horizons as the first choice for families, businesses and stakeholders. Ensure the brand and tone of voice guidelines are consistent, adhered to and implemented clearly in all editorial and multimedia content creation, using appropriate sign-off proceduresCreate, manage and deliver the editorial content plan, ensuring multimedia content is effectively re-used across our channels (incl. external: social, publications, e-mail and website, and internal: staff engagement communications and intranet)Write, ghostwrite and/or edit articlesWith your team, create content, customer experience and marketing campaign messages for our nursery, corporate and recruitment audiences, supporting their specific goals to drive engagement. This includes a suite of E-newsletters to segmented audiences andMonthly Resource Packs themed around relevant awareness topics and global newsManage key projectsAlways meet deadlines and KPIsIdentify appropriate needs for visual material (image/video) aligned to content creation, ensuring it maximises target audience engagement and relevance, in consultation with the Marketing Team and other relevant stakeholders.Report on content performance, using data derived through web and social media analytics to identify opportunities and learnings. Regularly monitor and report on competitor content activityManage a regular content review process, ensuring all external content is edited on scheduleCommission and liaise with internal and external content producers to create content, directing and authoring content briefs and managing production timelines.Use your knowledge, expertise and experience to enhance communications throughout the business. Positively impact the customer experience (families, clients, client employees) by acting as a champion for their aspirations and concerns, which may include challenging as necessaryWho You’ll be Working With: Under the guidance of, and in collaboration with, the Head of Content and Communications and the wider Marketing team, you’ll manage and help produce a robust & comprehensive editorialand multimedia content calendar for Bright Horizons UK, balancing needs across our community nursery and corporate solutions portfolio, in alignment with overall marketing strategy,Provide expert guidance to our operation teams in communicating sensitive messages to our customer, client and staff audiences, ensuring messaging is audience-appropriate, clear and engaging – and therefore effective.
