Main Contractor - Multi Discipline 
High Barnet 
£25k - £45k (Exp level dependent)

Offering a range of expert Build, Refurbishment, Alterations and planned maintenance/ disrepairs services to domestic properties and commercial buildings in the social housing, education, retail & health and social care sectors.
  • Contracting - General construction and refurbishment arm specialising in local authority and public sector projects, whether this is schools and education or social housing major upgrades.
  • Voids/ Disrepairs Framework - Measured Term Contract and Frameworks where we work with our clients on a long term collaborative basis.
  • Regeneration - New build and developments, taking projects from concept and planning through to completion.

The Opportunity: 

New and exciting opportunity for a Contract Administrator to join the group.
Based from head office in High Barnet, you will be providing administration support for our all business specialisms.

This role involves managing the procedural aspects of a contract during the delivery of a project. This includes ensuring the flow of required information, submitting notices, valuations and payment evaluations, along with handling claims for extra payment, and extended timescales.
Contract administration is based around overseeing contractual agreements and ensuring that all parties involved adhere to these agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Articulating, capturing and implementing contractual issues
  • Negotiating contract terms with both internal and external entities
  • Reviewing existing contracts and updating them
  • Monitoring contractual performance using spreadsheets and electronic document management systems (EDMS)
  • Analysing risks associated with specific contract terms
  • Creating language standards for new contract documents or existing ones
  • Providing detailed reporting to the involved parties at the end of a contract
  • Administering and managing financial records, invoices, credits and final accounts as per project requirement

Key Skills/ Attributes:
 
  • Proven experience working in a similar Contracts biased admin role for a main or specialist contractor.
  • Strong Construction based background and experience.
    Candidate will live locally to head office as full-time office based role.
  • The candidate will be methodical, diligent and have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced and energetic environment.
  • Ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the common Microsoft applications like Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Be able to work on your own initiative.
  • Understands the importance of deadlines and works with the team as to help achieve them.
  • Comfortable with construction working environment and culture.
