What’s the purpose of role:
To support the business in all areas of contract pricing activity being the specialist in maintaining the master price lists to the agreed commercial and contractual frameworks whilst monitoring performance at gross profit level. The job will include building relationships with airline representatives responsible for pricing & invoicing, creating detailed pricing responses that will assist the acceptance process and manage customer expectation for pricing delivery time frames.
This role will initially be a fixed term contract on a 6 month basis.
Who you’ll deal with:
Internal: Senior management team, operational service delivery team, unit function managers, compliance team, financial team, IT team, supply chain team, human resources, customer services, sales & commercial teams
External: Airline Customers
What you’ll be doing:
You will be aligned to specific airline customers, and will take accountability for their contract pricing.
Create pricing worksheets to gross profit level and price summary document (MPL) per customer including all support data as required.
This document will be passed to the pricing analyst or lead analyst for completion.
To review and validate the master price list (MPL) prior to issue, ensuring accuracy of information produced by the Analysts and Lead Analysts, and provide detailed explanation for cost variances.
To monitor, investigate and record GP movement within the pricing term providing detail to senior management team as required including recommendations for change as appropriate
To support the Sales team during tenders and menu presentations, assisting to meet customer pricing expectations whilst ensuring agreed margins or contractual pricing terms are maintained.
Work with the finance team to ensure accurate billing, reviewing invoices at the start of a cycle / menu change to establish correct data and monitoring on an ad-hoc basis.
To support tender process, working alongside the Sales team to prepare and complete required documentation within allocated timeframes.
The role will include managing a team of Analysts and Lead Analysts including monitoring holidays, sickness & training.
You will oversee all output and workload and manage performance inline with departmental KPIs
On an annual basis you will set SMART objectives and manage performance via regular one to one’s as well as developing a succession plan for your team.
You will support the recruitment process and training.
To obtain & action into airline systems - pricing information that ensures deadlines are adhered to and therefore payment is not delayed.
To maintain a clean and accurate data system ensuring audit trail for all documents
Ensure ad-hoc and VIP flight information is completed, and prices issued in an accurate and timely manner to enable invoicing to meet the company accounting period. Produce ad-hoc customer reporting for senior management.

What you’ll have:
Detailed understanding of food and food production methods
Advanced Excel and Word skills
Ability to adapt to different databases including the in-house system
Financial awareness and understanding of pricing policies including food cost and labour values
Commercial & Contractual excellence
High level of analytical and numerical skills, including attention to detail and accuracy, must be methodical, and logical in their approach
The ability to work under pressure
Excellent planning and organising skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, management, and teamwork skills
